We realize that making collaborative connections is not easy. In an effort to accelerate the formation of new collaborations, SAi hosts a one hour CollabXchange event every other quarter or so. Using the Gather Town platform (see photo below), attendees spend the hour “speed dating” to help make new connections between fellows, residents, and staff at SAi in addition to invited individuals outside of SAi. The ultimate goal is to inspire the rapid exchange of ideas and the formation of new connections/collaborations between the various stakeholders in public science engagement, informal science learning and science communication.
