SAi is excited to welcome five new Fellows in the 8th Cohort of its Core Program, which was made possible by a grant from the Lounsbery Foundation. The Program kicked off on September 13, and we look forward to seeing our Fellows’ impact on STEM engagement, outreach, and science communication during our time together.
The launch of this iteration of the Program would not have been possible without Cory Warshaw, who recently joined SAi as the Programs Officer, and Program Director Fanuel Muindi. Warshaw and Muindi spent time revamping the Program and adding elements that set the Fellows and their programs up for success in the field.
“The 8th version of the Fellows Program is more streamlined by using our Project Charter scaffold for the first time. This enables Fellows to combine operations and logic model elements when designing their Program,” said Warshaw. “Another brand-new feature of our Program is that all Fellows are to write and submit a grant by the end of the Program. This task gives them a structured grant writing experience while under the close supervision of their mentors.”
Stay tuned as Pitch Day is scheduled for November 17, 2022. More information will be available closer to the date.
