SAi is experimenting with a new Collaboration Initiative (CollabX) to support the strategic partnership between SAi Residents whose experimental collaboration will significantly enhance and/or enable a more effective and efficient delivery of an existing or new project/program compared to working alone. Although preference is for internal partnerships among SAi members, collaborations between SAi Residents and those outside of SAi are also welcome. The goal is to promote innovation through collaborative projects/programs that build more bridges of access between society and STEM. Currently, CollabX funding of up to $1000 can be awarded each year. The funds will be restricted and have formal reporting requirements.
Favorable proposals have the following elements:
- Clearly articulate what the collaboration will improve or create;
- Connect and combine disparate approaches;
- Challenge current assumptions;
- Attempt to test completely new approaches collaboratively;
Project pitches and any questions should be sent to the program director, Dr. Fanuel Muindi, at scholarship@stemadvocacy.org.
