Baylor University PhD Candidate and SAI Fellow Dani Crain has now been matched to an impressive 6 schools for Skype a Scientist just this semester. Dani writes: “Skype a Scientist has this great feature where you can note which languages you can speak – so one of these classrooms I will be answering questions about whales, marine biology, and in Spanish! I’ve spoken with 3rd – 9th graders, to students with learning differences, to young women scientists, and they all have amazing questions! This is such an enriching experience for both the scientist and the classroom, I can’t recommend it enough!”
We are all very proud of Dani’s continued commitment to communicating and increasing access to science. Follow Dani on Twitter.
About Skype a Scientist
“Skype a Scientist matches scientists with classrooms around the world! We want to give students the opportunity to get to know a “real scientist”. This program allows us to reach students from all over the world without having to leave the lab! We have thousands of scientists ready to chat! Teachers can choose the type of scientist that will fit their classroom. Let’s start a conversation!” https://www.skypeascientist.com/
