Our Advisory Board Member Dominic Mao was recently awarded the Doty-Losick Prize for Exceptional Service in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University. Dominic is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies (CPB/MCB) and Lecturer in MCB.
About the Award
Established in 2014, the Doty-Losick prize is awarded to an MCB member who distinguishes him or herself by exceptional and selfless to our community – service that goes well beyond the job description.
The prize honors Professors Paul Doty and Rick Losick. In 1967, Paul Doty founded and served as the first chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a predecessor of MCB. Rich Losick served as chair of the Department of Cellular and Developmental Biology (1984-1987), a predecessor of MCB, and MCB )1995-1998) and 2013-2014).
