On May 2nd, 2020, the New Society Art Gallery hosted its second exhibition opening, entitled Invisible Connections. As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to keep people home, the New Society Art Gallery has proven a valuable resource for artists to share their work with the public, and for gallery attendants to connect with each other and the artists. This second iteration of the New Society Art Gallery online opening exhibition hosted 9 artists, and at its peak, 28 concurrent visitors, which is fantastic growth from the previous gallery.
Artists included:
- Suzanne Anker
- Erica Nazzaro
- Shaun Reynolds
- JennyMae Kho
- Caitlin Vander Weele
- Joni Seidenstein
- Sandy Felder
- Maria Servelon
- Darren Harley
The mediums and styles all varied greatly, but each work gave a unique and moving take on how we as humans have invisible connections to each other, the earth, and beyond. You can visit newsocietyart.org to view the recording of the live gallery, and view all the pieces featured in this month’s gallery. Given the growing interest in this space for artists to continue to share their powerful, impactful, and challenging works with an engaged audience, the next gallery and subsequent opening event is currently being planned for mid to late June with a guest curator.
