I am a freelance visual science communicator. After completing a bachelor’s and PhD in neuroscience, I shifted my focus to what I see as one of science’s significant issues today: effective communication. I taught myself to effectively explain complicated or technical information by creating illustrations, infographics, animations, and data visualizations. Through my project at SAi, Science Trendline, I am working to create interactive data visualizations that show all published research articles on a given topic in one visualization to improve transparency and provide context for scientific reporting and publishing.
