Project: Pub Navigator

I am currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Limeri Lab at Texas Tech University. In my postdoctoral work, I pursue two separate research agendas:

  1. investigating teacher mindsets and motivation to pursue teaching
    professional development, and
  2. investigating ways to cultivate community cultural wealth and science identity using student-centered learning in biology classrooms.

In my time as a student and a researcher, I have learned how insular science can be. It is important to ensure that scientific advances are being shared with the broader public and my goal is to make sure that my research, and the research of others, is accessible. When I am not in the classroom or the lab, I enjoy all things outdoors. I love spending time in my garden, backpacking in the back country, and spending time with my two goofy dogs and my old, curmudgeonly cat.
