Internship
Launched in June 2020, the Civic Science Journalism Internship offers undergraduate students in any field the opportunity to research and report on the latest developments in various civic science fields, including public engagement, science communication, citizen science, and science policy. Through investigative storytelling, interns create in-depth thought pieces that contribute to ongoing discussions and inform future coverage on video, radio, or digital print. The main goal of the program is to give undergraduates the time, space, and community to explore civic science as a field and the career pathways that are possible.
Over a period of 3 months, interns are provided a stipend of $1000 and are expected to produce one 800-word article per month during the 3 month internship.
